Introduction: – Women Welfare Service (WWS) in partnership with Mission East (ME) is implementing a project entitled “Civil Society for Inclusion: building up inclusive approaches for women with disabilities in Humla”. The main issue which underlies the activity: Civil Society for Inclusion: building up inclusive approaches for women with disabilities in Humla under CISU 004, is the extreme vulnerable conditions of people with disabilities living in rural remote and isolated districts of Nepal, such as Humla, and the absence of tangible support from government and civil society which provides lasting solutions, upholds rights and respects their dignity.
1. Based on WWS request for the need of organizational support and capacity building in the area of disability inclusiveness, this project is a follow up activity in the process of ongoing capacity building of WWS concerning disability, addressing field staff to become better knowledgeable, skilled and develop a stronger attitude towards people with disabilities, especially women with disabilities.
2. The project aims to empower marginalized women with disabilities of Humla (Nepal) to advocate for their rights and improve their situation. It also objects to enable WWS becomes a disability inclusive organization able to address issues of women with disabilities in Humla.
3. Target Beneficiaries: Project staffs of WWS, Marginalized women with disabilities of Humla.
4. Project Duration: January, 2013 – June, 2014
